Bestest Friend’s Mum

Created by Sandra 4 years ago

I first met Colleen when I was 17 and Emma and I became friends at College.

Colleen was funny, wise and honest. She was like a second mum. She loved to laugh and despair at our College antics. She taught me how to cut an onion.

She had the most beautiful doll’s house which i dared not touch. She enjoyed watching Emma and I trying to make our jeans skinny with her sewing machine, only to find we could get our legs in.

Colleen gave sound advice. She visited me after the arrival of our first child and told me that i must stop trying to achieve House Beautiful and that I should set an alarm and when it goes off the cleaning stops.

I have had some fun times with Colleen recently visuting Emma and Molly. She even made me laugh during hospital visits. I’m so grateful to have seen her so recently.

Rest well lovely lady (with Mr Brown 😊). You have raised a wonderful family and you have given much joy. Thank you for everything.
